They make ’em hardy in Hither Green! Despite a forecast of solid rain from morning to afternoon, 14 intrepid locals came out to plant saplings in the rain!
These edible bushes will encourage biodiversity- providing habitats and food for wildlife and provide a foraging legacy for the area.
Most volunteers decamped to the cafe on Duncrevie Road corner to dry off with tea and sandwiches,
