London Open House: Cream teas and tours at the St Mungo’s Centre- Sat 21 Sept


London Open House: the St Mungo’s Spring Gardens Centre on Ennersdale Road is having an Open Day on Saturday 21st September.

St Mungo’s is one of Britain’s largest charities supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide a bed, warm room and so much more to thousands of people in London and across the South – from hostels to semi-independent flats, from psychotherapy services to life-skills and job opportunities.

As part of London Open House weekend, the Spring Gardens project in Hither Green will be welcoming members of the public in to the centre to meet project workers and clients and to hear more about their work in our local area.

IMG-20130915-06299Spring Gardens is a purpose-built hostel for homeless people, offering high-quality accommodation for 85 residents in buildings arranged around a courtyard, beautiful garden with a chicken pen and kitchen garden.

The centre itself is light, open and airy and with additional training spaces.
